Who is Moe?
Moe Monaghan has over 25 years of experience in the auctioneering business. He established Moe’s Auctioneering & Appraisal Services in 2000 with the help of his wife, Nancy. Through honesty, integrity and honourable business practices, they grew the company into the trusted source of some of the largest farm, industrial, and antique estate auctions in the province. Moe used state-of-the art software in both auctioneering and appraising. He was the first auctioneer in Prince Edward Island to introduce alternative payment methods, computerized auction software, absentee bidding, and auctions with real-time live online bidding.

Born and raised in PEI, Shawn McCabe has known Moe through the auction world for over a decade. As Moe was looking for a successor for his established auctioneering and appraisal business, he recognized that Shawn had the skillset and integrity to continue his vision forward. Moe officially
"passed the gavel" on to in Shawn June 2023. Shawn looks forward to continuing the legacy that Moe and Nancy have built and serving consignors and customers with the same dedication and passion.
Shawn has previously worked in the financial industry, where he has helped Islanders navigate life transitions for 12 years. He's passionate about helping others, and is excited to continue this island and family-run business with the same principles Moe started over 25 years ago. Shawn lives in Vernon River with his wife and two children.
