* Because this auction is located OFF-SITE (NOT on-site at our Auction House), all items MUST be collected during the scheduled pick-up event. Any item(s) that are not picked up by the Buyer during the scheduled off-site pick-up event will be considered abandoned and forfeited by the Buyer without refund and without further notice to the Buyer, unless alternative arrangements (e.g., for shipping) have been made with the Auctioneer in advance. In consideration of the above, please do NOT bid on any items in the auction if you do not fully intend to collect your items during the scheduled off-site pick-up event! The items in this auction are located off-site, at 3351 Seven Mile Road in Cardigan, PEI, and were catalogued by our "Moe-bile Specialist". 

This auction offers a diverse collection of unique, vintage, antique, rustic, and practical items for your home, workshop, or barn. It features a 1903-1953 Golden Jubilee model Ford tractor that will be of interest to collectors, enthusiasts, and those seeking machine power to support various tasks. It also contains non-motorized means of transporting/hauling items, such as wheelbarrows, wagons, an antique wheeled cart, and an antique sleigh. Get ready for hurricane season and cooler weather with a fuel-powered chainsaw, a fuel-powered wood splitter, and a cast iron wood-burning camp stove. Browse an assortment of farming/gardening tools, hand tools, and other tools and equipment, including scythes, pitchforks, axes, hand saws, hammers, shovels, antique planers and levels, an antique turnip seeder, hydraulic jacks, a work bench vice, and more. The selection of furniture and housewares includes a modern bedroom set, a cedar-lined wooden chest, a solid wood kitchen table and chairs, and a variety of dishes, cookware, and glassware. * If you have not picked up your item(s) within 7 days of the auction closing date and have not made alternative arrangements (e.g., for shipping), we will have to charge a storage fee of up to $15 per item per day due to limited space at the Auction House. Any items that are not picked up within 14 days of the auction closing date may be considered abandoned and forfeited by the Buyer without refund and without further notice to the Buyer, unless prior arrangements have been made with the Auction House. Arlene Rice, a beloved figure in the Prince Edward Island art community, was known for her role as a gallery owner and artist. For over 20 years, her gallery, Details Fine Art Gallery, showcased a diverse range of both local and international artists, reflecting her deep passion for art and her commitment to fostering artistic talent.

Arlene's artistic journey was greatly supported by the many artists she featured, who provided her with valuable technical and creative insights. Her background in design honed her eye for composition, while the varied landscapes of Prince Edward Island—both rural and urban—offered endless inspiration. Arlene often captured the interplay of light on buildings and streetscapes in her paintings, turning everyday moments into artistic expressions.

Though largely self-taught, Arlene enriched her skills through workshops with renowned artists such as Brian Atyeo, Dianna Shyne, Sandi Komst, and Henry Purdy. Her artwork, occasionally whimsical, documented the rhythms of city life and everyday scenes, influenced by the late Elaine Harrison's work. These pieces, depicting scenes from daily life, have become a cherished part of many private collections.

Arlene Rice's legacy continues through her contributions to the art world and the enduring presence of her work in private collections.
