Fleet of Dream: Bluenose Model Ship Auction

Moe’s Auction House is proud to present the Fleet of Dreams: Bluenose Model Auction — a one-of-a-kind offering featuring 92 handcrafted replicas of Canada’s most iconic schooner, the Bluenose.

Bidding is open from June 12 through July 10, with an in-person preview available on Wednesday, July 9 from 4:00–7:00 PM at Moe’s Auction House in Crapaud, PEI.

These heirloom-quality models were created by master craftsman Sylvester De Silva, who meticulously hand-built each ship using solid Sri Lankan teak wood. Models range in size from 2 feet to 6 feet, with only the 2-foot models available in painted finish. All others are natural teak.

Each model features:

  • Hand-stitched sails and full rigging

  • A wooden display base

  • Assembly instructions

  • A lifetime teak warranty (honored by the maker)

  • Flat-packed shipping with secure packaging

This is an extraordinary opportunity for maritime collectors, home decorators, yacht clubs, and nautical enthusiasts to acquire a handcrafted tribute to the 1921 Lunenburg-built racing schooner that has become a national symbol of Canadian pride.
